It’s whiskey as nature intended it—bottled straight from the barrel at its full proof. Intense, smooth, and remarkably varied, Barrel Proof is bottled at anywhere from 125 to 140-proof, taking Jack’s trademark vanilla and toasted oak flavors to bold new levels.

On June 22, 2024 we lost a great friend and community member, Scott T. Pigsley, 37. Born July 11, 1986, in Lincoln, NE. Jerry Lee and Gina Lynn (Bottcher) Pigsley (Lincoln) had the great blessing of being Scott’s parents.
Scott, also known as 5th Quarter Tailgate on Youtube, was great supporter of the bourbon community and more specifically, WhiskeyTube. He was unabashed in his opinions and would gladly share his insights and preferences to anyone who would ask. Our community felt a great void when we lost Scott and we wish his family well as they sort through this heart breaking tragedy. Cheers Scott, we will all miss you.

Bottle #1: AKA: CHRISTMAS
This is one of the most unique bottles you will come across this year consisting of 16yr MGP Light Whiskey finished at Cat's Eye Distillery in a barrel used to age Kentucky Brunch Brand Stout from Toppling & Goliath distillery in Decorah, Iowa for 4+ months. Christmas will take your palate for a ride with an oily mouthfeel of Rich Chocolate and Christmas Spices that lead to a lingering finish that cascades across flavors of Chocolate, vanilla,.

Bottle #2: Nassif Family Reserve finished in a local craft brewery stout barrel from Bettendorf, Iowa.
Nassif Family Reserve is a blend of 50% 14-year light whiskey from MGP and 50% 3-year 10-month bourye (a blend of 36 rye bourbon and 95 rye distillate aged together in new oak). The blend 107 proof.
Nose: vanilla, caramel, coffee, some oak, floral, and raisin. Palate: Nice balance between oily and watery. An appropriate amount of heat for the proof, gets softer the more you sip. Spicy citrus on the front end. Orange, baking spice, a hint of coffee, and a delicate floral note round out the palate. 

6.5 yr old MGP 21% Rye Bourbon finished in a Congac Cask for 9 months
This bottle is just pure delicious!
It will be very hard to just have one dram of this fine whiskey.
You will want to be sure and get a backup!

You do not want to pass on this extremely limited release. Only 100 bottles available of this incredibly flavorful HAZMAT Canadian rye. Aged for 16 years and then Double Barreled for a incredible cream finish that lasts forever. Coming in at 147.2 proof, this truly is a unicorn that is a must have for any rye fan. These will go fast!

This one were calling Cuélebre in honor of the Asturian dragon of lore. This beast comes in at 17yrs old (Barreled 1/1/2005) then put in an Oloroso Sherry finishing barrel (6/28/22). These will be bottled on 9/8/23 for an almost 15 month finishing age! While this Dragon is not as hot as the original ODB, this one clocks in at 67% ABV or 134 Proof.

This special release Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye celebrates the early craftsmanship of the Jack Daniel Distillery, honoring a time when American whiskey was often high in rye content and offered at barrel strength. Bottled in its purest form right from the barrel and uncut at full proof, it’s packed with Jack character with our signature smooth finish. Proof will range from 125-140. 

Beans was a beloved Boston Terrier from the Peet's family. This bottle pays homage to not only Beans but the Peet's themselves. Both John and Renee went with Storytime on this amazing Jack Pick and they did not disappoint. Renee's love for the JDSBBP Rye is well known and her meticulous palate was key in selecting a Rye that lives up to the Storytime reputation. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that if it weren't for John's commitment to this community and love for a great pour, this bottle would not have happened. 6.5 yr old MGP 21% Rye Bourbon finished in a Port Barrel for 8 months
If you like port finished bourbon, you are going to love this amazing barrel from Jeppsons. This is easily my favorite port finished bourbon to date and I'm sure it will be yours too!
